Collecting: plants & plant carers of Lutruwita/Tasmania
As part of my residency (August 2025) at the Artist Cottage, Salamanca Arts Centre, I invite local Tasmanians to share their special plants. Each plant carries a story, a connection to place, or memory. Through your contributions, I aim to create a new collection of drawings, honouring both the flora and personal narratives intertwined with them.

seeking: Lutruwita/Tasmania plant carers
In the continuation of my previous project, Plant Carers, I am reaching out to the community of Lutruwita/Tasmania who nurture plants. I am eager to connect with individuals engaged in plant conservation, activism and research.
Typically, I meet people, listening to their stories, and capture the essence of their work through photographs of their hands in action. These images serve as the basis for my drawings.
I have previously created a large body of work including over 50 South Australian Plant Carers, through which I celebrate and honour the vital role that these individuals play in preserving the enduring legacy of our local ecosystems.
